GENETIC COUNSELING

For genetic counseling, those majoring in biology or psychology will have an advantage over those majoring in other fields.  However, no specific major is required.

Because each health career graduate program requires specific preparation, students must work closely with their health careers advisor to plan a suitable course of study, including classes,  internships, etc.

If you are a biology major, your departmental advisor will also be your career advisor.  Otherwise, see Dr. Moss for advising for genetic counseling.
